My Leadership
Experiences
From my past experiences, I have viewed leadership as one of the most significant skills of my life. I am always willing to take the leader position either in small group projects or some programs outside. It is often about taking responsibilities to guide others toward a same goal, to make decisions, take initiatives and show empathy and respect to build up relationships with people around.
Mandarin Club President
I have been the Mandarin Club President for two years, raising the awareness of appreciation to Chinese culture and cultural diversity.

The picture below was taken of me and three other club executives last year, which we were hosting the annual Mandarin singing competition, in order to create a space where diverse participants can engage with Mandarin language and traditions.

Volunteers leader of Over The Rainbow 2023
I have been the leader of all the volunteers for Over the Rainbow 2023 to help celebrate Indigenous Peoples for Truth and Reconciliation. I organized small groups of volunteers and assigned each of them specific tasks. I also stood at the gate to assist with guest registration, introduced the event, and helped distribute food to all the participants and performers. Ultimately, the event was successful, and even some of the councilors came to participate.
